You have written your global citizen project on an issue, now you must advocate for it!
As your final project, you will create an advocacy campaign for social change in which you address the particular issue your group chose for your global citizens project. You may look at examples from different social movements and/or organizations to guide you in creating your own, but the content of your project should be original and tailored to your particular issue. Advocacy projects can be created in many different formats (paintings, flyers, protests, blog page, powerpoint video presentations, photo collage, etc.). You may choose any format you are comfortable with as long as you convey your message accurately. Keep in mind the audience whom you are targeting: will you advocate to your local, state or federal officials, or among your peers and/or family members? Remember that you are advocating for social change by focusing on possible solutions to your issue by creating awareness and/or seeking to change policy. This means you must address the strategy(ies) you will use to try to create momentum and change policy.
[Note: Depending on the format you choose, you must also submit a one-page (Times New Roman, 12, single-spaced) paper accompanying it where you outline your issue, your objectives, and strategy(ies) for a possible solution.]
