PLEASE VIEW FILES ! Dulce Et Decorum Est” is a very famous anti-war poem that makes a powerful statement. It was written during World War 1 by Wilfred Owen, a British soldier. He wrote most of his poetry in a one year period between 1917 and 1918 while in the hospital being treated for war wounds; he returned to the war and was killed in action in November 2018, at the age of 25, just one week before the end of the war (“Wilfred Owen”).
