part 2
Job Market
As we have discussed, public health offers a wide variety of job options, and each person is tasked with determining which career path to take. There are numerous means to search for jobs, including job boards, social media sites and, perhaps the most beneficial over the long term, networking. Reflecting on interactions with public health professionals over the course of this program could offer insight into job opportunities. For this discussion, address the following:
What are some places you have looked for jobs (websites, blogs, job boards)?
What is your strategy for securing a position in public health?
part 3 Change, Change, and more Change
For this week’s discussion, please share your thoughts about the future of health care leadership. Here are some ideas to get you started:
What do you think will be the biggest change in terms of leadership in health care over the next 10 years? Share a resource that supports this.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) have received an increasing focus in and outside of health care. How do you think DEI will continue to influence health care leadership?
As a leader in your organization, what steps would you take to help people within your organization embrace changes taking place internally and externally?
There is no question that health care is changing at a very fast pace. Describe what you think are the biggest priorities for healthcare leaders in light of this rapid change.
