gross $792.9 million dollars at the box office. It held the record for highest
grossing film of all time for eleven years until the release of Jurassic Park
in 1993.
Additionally,
E.T. went on to win Oscars for Best Sound, Best Visual Effects, Best Sound
Effects, and Best Score. It was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director, Best
