In this essay you will be required to examine a specific character.
When looking at a character there are a variety of perspectives that need to considered, including how a character has been affected by other characters and or by experiences. You will be free to examine any piece of literature, but you must only focus one one character do not make comparisons or examine multiple characters. Just choose one
In addition you may choose to write about a character from. Film, but must be based upon novel or short story.
In regards to the essay you may want to explore how a character develops and why?
What event had the single greatest gift impact on a character and why?
You may choose to explore what a character is meant to symbolize?
You may even choose to examine a villain or flawed hero and what kind of conflicts they have.
As always you must have a direct thesis.
