Your company is starting their first international business venture. You are asked to lead this venture and have decided to follow the below steps to be successful in this venture:
Select a country outside the United States and its territories.
Go to the Geert Hofstede’s Six Cultural Dimensions website and enter the country you have selected in Step 1 and the United States. (see below for Geert Hofstede’s website and tips on using the website.)
Use the information you obtained from Hofstede’s Six Cultural Dimensions to:
Evaluate each country’s similarities and differences, using the United States as a basis for the comparison;
Discuss the implication of understanding the differences in cultural dimensions for your communication with your business partners.
Include how Hofstede’s Dimensions help you communicate better in the venture.
Make sure to include the graph report you received from the Hofstede website (above) when comparing the U.S. to the country you selected in Step 1.

Tip: When creating a country comparison, choose the United States in the first drop-down menu box to see the values for the six cultural dimensions. After selecting the United States, a second country can be chosen in the second drop-down menu box. Keep the United States in the first box.
