The purpose of this assignment is to apply critical thinking skills to the analysis of potential sources for the research-based op-ed you will write for this class in Modules 5 and 6. Using your approved topic as a starting point, begin both the preliminary and focused research. Start with some web based information to give you some context for what folks are saying in regards to the topic. Then, begin focused research utilizing library resources. Submit an MLA style annotated bibliography listing a minimum of three sources, of which at least two must be peer reviewed scholarly articles. Begin the annotated bibliography with an introductory paragraph. It should explain your topic, research question, as well as an explanation for why you’re interested in this topic.

provides a brief summary of the source (a short paragraph 100-300 words);
