you will write a 7-8 page essay on the story “The Lesson” showing how it represents the Marxist theory while using one of the concepts in the PowerPoint. (such as classism or capitalism)
in the introduction make sure to discuss the theory and the concept by defining it. then link it to the short story and summarize the story. once done link it to the thesis and to three points proving the concept
for the three body paragraphs make sure to first state the point, then provide a quote with pg #, break down the quote and explain it (should be 3 sentences at least), and then have a transition sentence moving on to the next paragraph
counterclaim- look at PowerPoint for a full description of what is wanted and for example.
for the conclusion restate your thesis and sum us the points from the body paragraphs. make sure each paragraph has an outside source that is relevant from google Scholar (from 2016 to the present). also, make sure to use the article and class notes meaning PowerPoint and pdf on theory.
