To successfully
complete this assignment, you will have to do the following:
[1] Observe a culture other than your own or a setting/scene of
intercultural contact and write a paper that describes what you learned about the culture based on this interaction. For this
assignment, culture is loosely defined.
[2] Provide a brief explanation of the cultural event that you will be attending. What was the
event; why was it being held?
[3] Focus on the role that communication played in this
interaction, discussing verbal, nonverbal, or other ideas discussed in the class. How did this event/place differ from sites you are more
familiar and accustomed to seeing and experiencing?
